Seattle Skyline

Washington State Ferries is the largest ferry system in the United States. The ferry system is an essential part of western Washington's highway network. It provides critical links between the urban areas on the east side of Puget Sound and the growing communities to the west on the Kitsap Peninsula, as well as more rural destinations on the Olympic Peninsula, and the Province of British Columbia in Canada.

The Washington State Ferry terminal is Pier 52. The terminal serves vehicles and passengers to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton and foot passengers to Kitsap County and Vashon Island.

Clipper Navigation runs a passenger ferry from Pier 69 in Seattle to Victoria B.C. and the San Juan Islands.
