Victoria is the beautiful capital of British Columbia. Every visitor to the Province should make a special effort to experience its unique setting and friendly welcome. The city is full of tourist attractions p; the majestic Empress Hotel, B.C. Parliament buildings, art galleries and museums,including the internationally recognized Royal British Columbia Museum.

FERRY SERVICE TO VICTORIA

The downtown inner harbor is the hub for ferry access in and out of Victoria.Ferries serving the city include the Coho and Victoria Express from Port Angeles and the Victoria Clipper from Seattle. The Victoria Clipper uses the new Belleville Street Dock in the city's Inner Harbour.

The automobile and passenger service operated by BC Ferries between Tsawwassen and Swartz Bay, a half-hour drive north of Victoria, feature the 550-foot vessels, Spirit of British Columbia and Spirit of Vancouver Island, which carry up to 2,100 passengers and 470 cars.C rossing time is approximately 1-hour and 35 minutes.

The Washington State Ferriesfrom Anacortes and the San Juan Islands dock at Sidney north of Victoria.

North of Victoria on Vancouver Island are a number of popular tourist destinations for sightseers, romantics and weekenders looking for a glimpse of authentic island life. The rivers and coves of the island are known for some of the best salmon fishing in the world.

Nanaimo, on central Vancouver Island, is the main port of entry and departure for visitors traveling between north island destinations and the British Columbia mainland.

Nanaimo is served by BC Ferries' auto-passenger service from Horseshoe Bay north of Vancouver and by its Mid-Island Express from Tsawwassen.
